Hello guys! Millions of people around the world use search engines for a variety of reasons. Students use it for study purposes, businessmen use it for business purposes, etc. Here are some tips which can make your search more effective.

Use — sign to exclude any word or phrase.

For example:- If you want to search “ROSE” but you do not want “red rose” to appear. So you just need to write “ -red rose”.

Use “” (quotation) mark to search exact word or phrase

If you want to search exact word or phrase on the site, you just need to write that phrase inside the quotation.

Use the “site” keyword for search in a particular site

If you want to search for something on a particular site, you just need to type your keywords, then just type (site:www.example.com).

Use an asterisk within quotes to specify unknown or variable words

For example:- you want to search for a phrase but you don’t know whether the phrase is exact or not.

type your phrase inside “” and use * for the unknown words.

Use the ~ (tilde) Operator to include the result containing similar words and synonyms

For example:- you want to include a result that contains similar words and synonyms, just type ~ in front of your keyword without any space.

Use Filetype keyword to search in the particular file type

If you want to search something in a particular file format just type filetype: “type of file” at the last of your keyword

If you want to find a website similar to another site

You just need to type “related: site name”

Example:- If you want to search a site similar to Google. Just type related:google.com in the search bar
